Buscar trabajo como un “loco” todos y cada uno de los días durante 2 semanas y no encontrar absolutamente nada, sin duda ha sido lo más duro para mí. La presión de que necesitas encontrar el trabajo para poder sobrevivir.

Incluso, aunque parezca impensable, existen zonas en Londres que se respiran ambientes “pueblerinos”.

¿Por qué te decidiste por esta ciudad?

Porque es una de las ciudades con más mezcla cultural del mundo dónde poder mejorar el inglés y con muchos negocios para poder encontrar trabajo.

¿Por qué decidiste viajar con agencia? ¿y que destacarías de nuestros servicios?

Porqué viajar con agencia hace la llegada mucho menos dura. Sobre vuestros servicios destacaría ¡TODO! Estoy encantado con el trato que me habéis dado.

Pero si tengo que destacar algo es la confianza que transmitís y lo mucho que me ayudáis. Desde que aterricé hasta hoy, siempre que he tenido cualquier duda o problema me habéis ayudado con tan solo una llamada/mensaje.

Otra aspecto a destacar es los buenos consejos que dais para todo, ya sea para afrontar una entrevista de trabajo, maneras de moverse por Londres, etc.

¿Cuál sería tu valoración de tu primera etapa en la ciudad?

Sabía que me gustaría… ¡Pero estoy enamorado! Sobre diez le pongo un nueve.

¿Qué fue lo que más te costó en cuanto a la adaptación? ¿y lo que menos?

Lo que más me costó fue conocer gente de mi edad, pero constantemente en Londres se hacen actividades para ello por lo que no me preocupa.

Lo que menos me ha costado en cuanto a la adaptación es moverme por Londres en metro/bus. Parece muy complicado (y más para alguien como yo que había cogido dos veces el tren en toda su vida) pero en un día lo tienes.

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de Londres?

Me encanta la mezcla cultural y lo amables que son.

Desde tu experiencia ¿qué tres consejos le darías a alguien que esté pensando en venirse a Londres?

Viajar con in2london.
Si quieres aprender o mejorar el inglés, Londres es un buen lugar.
Sí, es una ciudad cara, pero también se gana más dinero.

Porque es una ciudad que ofrece muchas oportunidades a todo el mundo y creo que es la que más se ajustaba a lo que tenía en mente. Además hay muchas opciones de ocio, siempre hay algo que hacer en Londres.

¿Por qué decidiste viajar con agencia? ¿y que destacarías de nuestros servicios?

Porque es de gran ayuda saber que si en algún momento algo va mal vas a tener a gente para ayudarte y orientarte. Y es precisamente eso lo que destaco de vuestros servicios, yo vine con la conciencia tranquila sabiendo que si algo no me salía como esperaba iba a contar con vuestra ayuda.

¿Cuál sería tu valoración de tu primera etapa en la ciudad?

Muy buena, de 10. Me he adaptado perfectamente desde el primer día, y a pesar de llevar poco tiempo he notado que he mejorado mucho el idioma. Además es una ciudad en la que todo son facilidades. Por ejemplo, no he tenido ningún tipo de problema a la hora de registrarme en el centro de salud, ni de abrir una cuenta bancaria. Por lo general la gente es my amable y todos están dispuestos a ayudarte.

¿Qué fue lo que más te costó en cuanto a la adaptación? ¿y lo que menos?

No he tenido ningún problema de adaptación. Sabía a lo que venía y estaba muy segura de dar este paso. Además he tenido suerte y he conocido a gente que me ha ayudado mucho desde el principio.

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de Londres?

Que siempre tienes algo nuevo que hacer o visitar. Siempre que tengo tiempo libre me gusta ir a conocer sitios nuevos y Londres no deja de sorprenderme. Me encanta.

Desde tu experiencia ¿qué tres consejos le darías a alguien que esté pensando en venirse a Londres?

Que se informen bien sobre todo lo que hay que hacer para dar este paso, que estén muy seguros de lo que van a hacer y cuáles son sus objetivos, y que le echen valor y se vengan porque es una experiencia única.

3 semanas, las mejores y más movidas de mi vida.

¿Por qué te decidiste por esta ciudad?

Porque venir a Londres es como hacer un viaje alrededor del mundo, conoces gente de todos los países, sus costumbres, sus comidas típicas, sus ideales. Sin duda una ciudad para aprender y crecer como persona.

¿Por qué decidiste viajar con agencia? ¿y qué destacarías de nuestros servicios?

Básicamente porque nunca había pisado territorio inglés, y porque vi que con agencia me sería todo más fácil. Destacaría que siempre que tengas cualquier duda, por tonta que parezca, Carol y Jose van a estar ahí para resolvértela. También que yo llegué a Londres con piso buscado (con muy buena gente dentro de él) y he leído que a la gente normalmente le cuesta encontrar algo que se adapte a lo que necesita.

¿Cuál sería tu valoración de tu primera etapa en la ciudad?

Del 1 al 10 la valoro con un 10, estoy en un momento de mi vida en el que voy a tener que volver a España a acabar todo lo que tengo a medias. Pero no tengo ninguna duda de que Londres es mi ciudad, si te gusta el cambio, el movimiento y aprender cada día algo nuevo, Londres es la ciudad ideal.

¿Qué fue lo que más te costó en cuanto a la adaptación? ¿y lo que menos?

Me gusta tanto Londres que si hay alguna cosa a la que me costó adaptarme ya no me acuerdo. En dos días tenía el metro controladísimo. Quizá los buses son más complicados, pero con una app que se llama Citymaper (la recomiendo a todos) todo es mucho más fácil.

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de Londres?

Trabajo mucho, muchísimo, pero gracias al trabajo, todas las noches cuando acabo puedo disfrutar de las vistas del Támesis, el London Eye, El Big Ben, todo en uno, un espectáculo. Soy joven y obviamente me gusta salir, en España llega el fin de semana y todos están ansiosos por salir, aquí no, aquí hay fiesta de lunes a domingo amigos!!

Desde tu experiencia ¿qué tres consejos le darías a alguien que esté pensando en venirse a Londres?

1 - Tienes que tener claro a lo que vienes, no se puede venir a Londres a vivir del cuento. A no ser que seas rico.

2 - En cuanto a la búsqueda de trabajo hay que ser paciente, no rendirse nunca y levantar la cabeza cada vez que te digan “ya te llamaré”, al final siempre vas a encontrar algo, porque en esta ciudad la gente se mueve mucho. También es importante saber que hay que estar dispuesto a trabajar de lo que sea, no obstante esta ciudad te da la oportunidad de ir creciendo en tu trabajo.

3 - Si algo tiene Londres es “ritmo”, tienes que ser fuerte mentalmente (mucho más importante que físicamente) para vivir y trabajar aquí. Londres no es para los débiles, eso sí, después de Londres, todo te parecerá poco, como “light”.

Muchos sabéis que somos bastante flexibles y que siempre os damos a elegir entre las dos o tres mejores opciones en cuanto al alojamiento, ¿pero qué es lo que hace que nos decantemos por unas casas u otras?

En el post de hoy vamos a ir más en profundidad sobre el funcionamiento de la ciudad y que aspectos hay que valorar a la hora de elegir la estancia. Así como romper con esa idea, muy extendida en los foros, de que en Londres sólo se puede vivir en zona 1 porque a partir de la 2 todas son peligrosas.

En el primer contacto con mis chicos, intento hacer incapié en un aspecto que considero muy importante ya que me doy cuenta de que son pocos los que conocen ya no sólo el funcionamiento tanto de las grandes ciudades, como más concretamente el funcionamiento de Londres.

Hay ciertos factores que debemos conocer antes de viajar a Londres:

La Ciudad

Somos muchos los que antes de conocer Londres esperamos que sea una ciudad llena de rascacielos, gente de traje, sirenas y ruido, donde todo es electrónico y muy futurista, de acuerdo con nuestros estereotipos de grandes ciudades. Bien a los que teníais esa idea, lamento decepcionaros pero la mayoría de los rascacielos en Londres se concentran en el corazón financiero o "City" y Canary Wharf, mientras el resto de la ciudad la conforman casas Victorianas y Georgianas , por lo que tenéis más posibilidades de terminar viviendo en una casa con jardín que en un piso en bloque de edificios. No es futurista, por el contrario en Londres conviven lo último en nuevas tecnologías con lo más arcaico y rústico, para que os hagáis una idea es normal que en tu casa haya una plasma 3D a la que le hablas para cambiar de canal y que sin embargo para encender la luz del cuatro de baño tengas que tirar de un cordel que siempre te da la impression de que se te quedará en la mano. Quizá sea esta combinación de aspectos tan extremos y peculiares lo que hace que esta ciudad tenga tanto.

Exportar la Prestación por Desempleo

Cuando te Desplazas para Buscar Trabajo

Si estás cobrando el paro, tanto la prestación contributiva como el subsidio por desempleo, puedes exportar el paro, es decir, tienes la opción de seguir percibiendo la ayuda mientras no encuentras trabajo en país al que te has desplazado, en este caso en Inglaterra.

El plazo máximo para percibir la ayuda es de 3 meses o 6 si realizas la tramitación de una prórroga.

Los requisitos para percibir la ayuda son:

ser beneficiario de una prestación o subsidio por desempleo en España
haber estado al menos 4 meses inscrito como demandante de empleo en España
